Widow Makers are proud to be official sponsors of the 2nd annual Northants Vintage & Classic Bike Show at Chelveston, Northamptonshire which takes place this year on Saturday 22nd August 2015 in aid of the British Motorcycle Charitable Trust. Expect to see a Widow Makers stall showing original artworks and merchandise and meet the artist Stuart who will be available to discuss commissions. Last year’s inaugural show was an outstanding success with a full array of classic and vintage motorcycles on display - in fact it was partly the motorcycles in attendance at this event that inspired Widow Makers to be born.
****EXCLUSIVE**** THE WINNER OF THE BEST IN SHOW CATEGORY WILL HAVE THEIR BIKE ILLUSTRATED BY WIDOW MAKERS AS PART OF THEIR PRIZE.
So, this website has gone live earlier than I planned…why?
Recently, Widow Makers presented a sneak preview of what to expect from us to those who attended the famous ‘Ton Up Day’ event held at Jack’s Hill Cafe in Towcester, Northamptonshire. Widow Makers showed illustrations completed together with our merchandise and following a very successful day a number of new commissions have been requested.
Whilst attending the event, Stuart from Widow Makers and Creative Beast worked with Tom White at Black Rock Creative who filmed the finishing touches of a promotional video for Widow Makers showing the presentation of an illustration completed just days previously to Johnny ‘Chester’ Dowling - the culmination of days of planning, drawing, filming & tea-drinking - we hope that you agree that the illustration is a fitting tribute to what is a lovely machine and that the video captures the essence of a bygone era of motorcycling.
Widow Makers was so happy with the video that we couldn’t wait to show it to you all - we hope you love it as much as we do !
As we said earlier this website is very new and we have further galleries to be added soon for Photography, Ink and Bleach Illustrations and Posters. Please check back regular to see further updates to these galleries.
Kevin at Pure Triumph Wellingborough contacted Widow Makers having seen some Stuart’s illustrations posted on social networking sites to draw in ballpoint pen, the Triumph Daytona 1050R which they were building in their workshop. The original was presented to Pure Triumph to display in their store and they requested that four prints be produced for each of the team members to keep. Stuart enjoyed the project so much that he is planning to re-draw the bike from an alternative angle and also work with Pure Triumph again on a second promotional video with Tom at Black Rock Creative, very soon.
